March Touch a Truck Events

Bunny Trail (with Touch a Truck)

  • New! Extreme Air Bouncer (42″ height requirement)
  • Train rides
  • Petting zoo
  • Games (including putt-putt golf) and crafts

Kid’s Day Event (with Touch a Truck)

Crafts, Coffee/Snacks, Face Painting, Raffle for Moms and Touch-a-Truck with Fairfield Sheriff’s Deputy.

A great way for moms to connect and kids enjoy a little day for them after a long winter.

April Touch a Truck Events

Southeast Lions Easter Egg Hunt (with Touch a Truck)

For the 78th year, the Columbus Southeast Lions will be sponsoring our Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Schiller Park for children ages 10 and under. Along with a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, the Columbus Fire Department will be onsite with their fire engines and all children are welcome to tour them!
They will sound the siren at 10 AM sharp to start the hunt.

Touch a Truck

Truck fans of all ages, this is for you! Here’s your chance to see big and small rigs up close and learn about their role in our community. This annual event features all your favorite vehicles, large and small. The first half hour will be low-sensory. That means no horn honking, sirens, or flashing lights. Cameras encouraged to capture priceless memories. Parental supervision is required. Check back for a complete list of participants!

Red White & VROOM

Start your engines, Grove City!

Get ready for Red, White & Vroom, a high-energy celebration of America 250โ€™s monthly theme: Transportation. Join us as we honor the many ways people and goods have moved through Grove Cityโ€”past and present!

Explore 35+ unique vehicles up close, including vintage fire trucks, classic and sports cars, a tractor-trailer, school bus, tractors, a classic limousine, Ghostbusters vehicles, and so much more. Thereโ€™s something for vehicle lovers of all ages!

Parking: Available in the front of Brookpark, with overflow parking at Richard Avenue Elementary.

Hosted by Enchanted Care Learning Center. There will be food, games, tours and lots of vehicles! Can’t wait to see you all there!

Parking will not be available in Enchanted Care parking lot. Please park in Kinder Care or the Irvine Chiropractic and Functional Medicine located on both sides of our building.

Touch-A-Truck

Invite your friends and family to our second annual Touch-A-Truck event here at the Vineyard Community Church on Saturday morning, April 25 from 10am-12pm. There will be several types of heavy equipment, constructions trucks, emergency vehicles, and other interactive activities for children to enjoy. We will also have a coffee truck and food truck! This is a great family friendly event for children of all ages!

Children can touch, see, interact with, and learn about vehicles they regularly see in the community, including a fire truck, police cruiser, construction equipment, and more.

Friday, May 1: 9:30am-11:30am at Adventure Park, Powell

Touch-A-Truck

Come by the Pickerington Community Pool parking lot to see all your favorite trucks and equipment.ย  Kids will be able to see the ins and outs of all vehicle and receive a free Kids Driver’s License.

Upper Arlington Spring Fling

Enjoy exciting attractions like Touch-A-Truck, where kids can explore City service and safety vehicles up close. Savor delicious eats from local food trucks, and get moving with inflatable games, arts & crafts, and more.

Climb, touch, and take a photo with the trucks you see daily in the community.ย Visit withย our sponsors, play in the Truck Pit, decorate a construction hat,โ€ฏenjoy a balloonย twisterย and face painter, and more!

Music in the Park (with Touch a Truck)

May 15:ย Touch-A-Truck, featuring music by Poverty String Band Trio

Check out public works and public safety vehicles from Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Township Police, Madison Township Fire Department, Franklin County Auditor Weights & Measures, South Central Power, Ohio Army National Guard, Ohio 811, and City of Canal Winchester! Additional FREE activities include: balloon animals; inflatable bounce house; face painting by the CW Queens & Court; and more!

Friday, May 15: 6pm-9pm at Stradley Park, Canal Winchester

Experience Public Works Day

Kick off National Public Works Week with a โ€œtruck fullโ€ of fun at the City Service Center (6555 Shier Rings Road).

Bring your kiddos to explore the public vehicles they see around our city.ย Fun will be had at every turn! They can climb in and out of the trucks, paint a snow plow blade, race tricycles and jump around in bouncy houses. Plus, grab some yummy food at one of the food trucks!

Saturday, May 16: 9am-12pm at Dublin City Service Center

Grove City Touch a Truck

Touch a Truck for the Public Service Department is 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, May 16 in Town Center Park.

Participants of all ages can touch and climb on construction trucks, snowplows, dump trucks and other vehicles of all shapes and sizes.

Childrenโ€™s activities include painting a plow, coloring and photo contests, a prize wheel and learning how the Service Department serves our residents.

Prairie Township Touch a Truck

Come out to the Prairie Township Sports Complex at 1503 Galloway Road and climb around in some of the vehicles that help keep the Township safe and running smooth.

Cops & Kids Day

Cops & Kids Day is designed to build relationships between law enforcement and the community. Agencies throughout the state attend this annual event. Cruisers, helicopters, motorcycles, tactical vehicles, and K-9s will be on display. Kids are also able to participate in arts and crafts, inflatable gyms, and other activities. Local hospitals and safety organizations also attend the event and provide various child safety materials, promotional items, and other interactive exercises.

KidX Touch a Truck

Join us for another exciting KidX event at Polaris Fashion Place! Weโ€™ll be in our outdoor Polaris Lifestyle Center space (near Benihana, COhatch, and Cheesecake Factory) for a Touch-A-Truck event from 1-2:30PM. Programming will include an interactive truck playground for families and children to get up close to their favorite vehicles โ€“ and other family friendly entertainment!

June 20: 1pm-2:30pm at Polaris Fashion Place

Heroes Up Close: Trucks & Safety!

Join the Washington Township Fire Department and City of Dublin Police Department to explore fire trucks, medic trucks, police vehicles and more!

Bring the whole family for a hands-on, action-packed morning with local heroes! Join the Washington Township Fire Department and City of Dublin Police Department to explore fire trucks, medic trucks, police vehicles and more. Kids can climb aboard emergency vehicles, learn in Sparkyโ€™s Fire Safety Trailer, take photos with Sparky the Fire Dog Mascot, receive a free goodie bag for each child while supplies last, and meet local first respondersโ€”ask questions and learn how to stay safe! This free event is a fun and educational way for children to learn about safety while enjoying an exciting morning with local heroes. Additional community heroes may also attend, based on availability.

RCD’sย Touch A Truckย event is happening onย July 11th from 11 AM to 1 PMย at ourย Pataskala location, and it’s a day packed with fun for the whole family!ย Admission is free, and kids will love exploring big trucks, RV’s and other vehicles.ย Donโ€™t miss out on this fantastic opportunity for hands-on fun!ย We’ve got an awesome lineup of vehicles and guests confirmed, including theย Licking County Sheriff’s Office,ย ODNR,ย Michal Shank Racing, Ours Towing,ย Russell Tree Experts, United States Army,ย SiteWaste,ย The Central Ohio Ghostbusters,West Licking Joint Fire District,ย theย RCD RV Race Car and more!ย Enjoy delicious eats fromย Pretzel Shop, Etc.ย and sweet treats fromย Summer Freeze Snow Conesย (available for purchase), plus fun for the kiddos withย Pretty Cheeky Face Painting.ย Bring the whole family for a day of fun, food, and fantastic trucks!

Visit with a Fire Truck

Explore a fire truck provided by theย Westerville Division of Fire. Ask questions about fire safety and learn about the different parts of the truck.ย Then discover books about fire trucks and pick upย an activity packet to take home.

August Touch a Truck Events

Come join us for our annual Touch a Truck event. Held at the campground. Children can touch, see, interact with, and learn about vehicles they regularly see in the community, including a fire truck, police cruiser, construction equipment, and more.

Saturday, August 1: 12pm-2pm at Delaware State Parkย 

Upper Arlington City Truck Visit

See a snowplow and/or a trackhoe up close when the City of Upper Arlington Public Works Division visits the library with their equipment. Recommended for ages 1-8, Outdoors, program will be rescheduled if inclement weather.

August 7: 10:30am-11:30am at Miller Park Libraryย 


September Touch A Truck Events

Gahanna Touch a Truck

Hop on the big trucks and pretend to steer with us at Hannah Park. This event provides the opportunity to learn more about the interworking’s of the fire, police, and public works departments in Gahanna.
