National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Several cities across Central Ohio participate with fun (and free!) family friendly events including: cookouts, and community gatherings, often featuring demonstrations by police departments, food, music, and activities for children. I’ve rounded up a list of events around the Columbus area that are happening on Tuesday, August 5. See the list below for details on location, hours, activities planned and more. Bexley National Night Out
Join us in Commonwealth Park on Tuesday, August 5 for our annual National Night Out Celebration! This family friendly event offers food, inflatables, tons of fun, and best of all, the chance to spend time getting to know Bexley’s police officers. This national initiative provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together. Mark your calendar and we’ll see you there!
Commonwealth Park: 5pm-7pm
Dublin Police officers will take part in the 2025 National Night Out campaign with a community cookout 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Dublin Justice Center, 6565 Commerce Parkway.
All ages are welcome to visit with Dublin Police officers as a way to build on our exceptional and resilient community through personal connection.
Enjoy free food (hotdogs, chips, drinks, ice cream and more), music, games, fitness competition, drone demo, Touch-A-Cruiser, doughnut decorating and other activities.
Please follow signs to park at City Hall, 5555 Perimeter Drive, and officers will be near to show you to the fun outside the Dublin Justice Center.

Genoa Township
The first Tuesday in August, communities throughout the country simultaneously host National Night Out events with the goal to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
Locally, the event typically features free food, music, games, therapy K9s, touch-a-truck experience and officer meet and greet. The Police and Fire Chiefs have volunteered to participate in a dunk tank and an epic water balloon fight between cops and kids will take place at the end of the event.

Come together for an evening of connection, fun, and community spirit at Grove Cityโs National Night Out! Meet local police officers, firefighters, and first responders while enjoying family-friendly activities, games, and giveaways in the heart of Town Center.

Join us for our annual Night Out, designed to strengthen community ties and enhance neighborhood safety.
Itโs a perfect opportunity to meet your neighbors and connect with local law enforcement while enjoying fun for all ages with face painting, interactive safety demonstrations, community resource booths, and more.

Powell National Night Out
Join Powell Police and Liberty Township Fire Department for National Night Out. This family-friendly event will have activities including: meet your local first responders, free hot dogs and snacks, interact with community organizations, explore first responder vehicles, and more! We hope to see you there.

Reynoldsburg National Night Out
Westerville National Night Out
Join your neighbors, community members and Westerville Division of Police (WPD) on Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m. at Huberย Village Park (362 Huber Village Blvd) for a fun-filled evening for people of all ages. Free sweet treats and food will be available, and Sunny 95 will be on site to host a dance party and facilitate games.
The block-party-style gathering is an opportunity for residents to engage with WPD officers, foster relationships and strengthen the community.

West Jefferson National Night Out
Join us Tuesday, August 5th from 6PM to 8PM at the West Jefferson Community Center for this yearโs National Night Out!ย
Worthington National Night Out
National Night Out is coming to Worthington neighborhoods on Tuesday, August 5th. Police officers will be handing out delicious ice cream and popsicles from our community partner, Dairy Queen. All neighborhood sign-up spots are full, but you can still join us for a special stop at the Worthington Community Center, 345 E. Wilson Bridge Road, beginning about 7-7:15pm. We hope to see you there or at your neighborhood stop on August 5th. National Night Out is a national community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood connections to make our community a safer and more caring place to live.
