It is exciting to say goodbye to the current year and ring in a new one, but when you have kids staying up until midnight is not always an option. If you’re planning on getting the kids to bed long before midnight, but still want to have some family fun first, scroll down for a number of events that are offering fun, kid-friendly ways to celebrate early. Here’s to ringing in 2025!

Come celebrate New Year’s with us at a far nicer hour! We’ll have our own ball drop, as well as crafts, music, and other fun to help us ring in the New Year right! Family event for all ages.
December 28: 11:30am-12:30pm at Grove City Library
Ring in the new year with stories, activities, and a balloon-filled finale! Count down with a storytime, then dance the morning away at our after-party featuring crafts, games, your favorite tunes, and a visit from Bluey,
Please attend only 1 session (9:30am or 11:30am). If your child is ages 0-7, you or a caregiver (age 18+) must remain in the room to supervise for the duration of the event.

Celebrate the new year without having to stay up late. Join us for crafts and activities before we count down to 12:00 noon.

Celebrate the New Year early and way before bedtime! We will count down to noon with our very own ball drop and tons of other activities! Dressing up is encouraged.

Break out your best pajamas for our kid-centered countdown to noon! Partygoers will enjoy a balloon drop, crafts, and games. Let your kids experience the fun of ringing in the New Year without having to stay up until midnight!

Celebrate the new year with a special Storytime at Storyline and a kid’s ball drop at 12 o’clock noon! We’ll have a dance party and sparkling white grape juice. Prepare for loudness. 🙂

New Year’s Eve Bedtime Ball Drop
Want to celebrate the New Year with the kids, but not wait till late? We are hosting a Bedtime Ball Drop party in our museum. We will fill the museum with kid friendly activities. Ring in the New Year with complimentary sparkling juice!
Join us before the party for a NYE brunch till 3pm, dinner service available till 9pm.

Our celebration will feature open play and a countdown to the “New Year” with a spectacular balloon drop to welcome 2025! With Special Guests Bluey, Bingo and Elmo! Cost is $20 per child, Pre-registration required by giving us a call.

Zoo Year’s Eve at the Columbus Zoo
Not a nocturnal animal? Can’t wait up until midnight to welcome the New Year? No worries!
We invite you to partake in a delightful family-friendly New Year’s Eve countdown to noon at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium! This celebration is specially designed for families to welcome the new year well-before the clock strikes midnight.
Guests will be admitted to the Lakeside Theater beginning at 11:00am to prepare for the countdown. The rest of the Zoo will open at noon after the countdown concludes.
Gather at Lakeside Pavilion and Theater!
- Meet your favorite Zoo Character Ambassadors.
- Enjoy music and activities.
- Create your New Year’s Re-Zoo-lution.
- The highlight of this gathering is the unique New Year’s Eve noon countdown.
The Columbus Zoo’s New Year’s Eve celebration is included with paid Zoo admission or membership.

Looking for a fun way to celebrate NYE with the little ones? Come to our Noon Year’s Eve party!! We will have food, drink, activities for kids and most importantly a balloon drop at 12pm! Sign up via our FB event page and pay upon arrival!

Countdown to 12….noon that is! Goodbye 2024, hello 2025! Make a party hat, play some games and get ready to dance as we do a final countdown to noon with a one-of-a-kind bubble stomp. Then, for our late arrivals, we’ll do it all again with a countdown to 1pm.
Included in admission. No registration is required.

We will have open play, snacks, a craft, and photo area along with a balloon drop at noon with a fun countdown! $15 per child, one adult attends free per child and extra adults are $5 at the door. Memberships cannot be used for specialty open plays such as this. Reservations required.
